Liddell-Ortiz 2

Well folks it went down pretty much how I anticipated. Liddell out boxed Ortiz until he Knocked him down and man punched him for the win in the 3rd round. This goes back to my theory that a good boxer can beat pretty much any one. It's just a theory though.

Expand on that theory a bit for us.

Well Phil,
Most fighters who have gone on to do other types of blood sports if they know how to box well, do better. Benny "The Jet" Urquidez retired as an undefeated Kick boxer. He had great kicks, but he had great boxing skills. Most kick boxers are lacking when it comes to boxing skills, Foot work, movement, combination with the hands. If you watch Bruce Lee movies, he moves like a boxer. Early UFC was dominated by grapplers. Well once all the guys who knew how to strike learned how to grapple or avoid it they started to dominate. George St.Pierre just beat Matt Hughes. He beat him because he out boxed him. Hughes' only real asset was his strength and that he wouldn't get tired. Look to see St. Pierre beat Hughes again. Look to see Liddell do well for a few more years. Liddell is 37 though so his days are numbered.
